1.3 MW rooftop solar for Armadale Shopping Centre

A 1.3 MW rooftop solar system for one of WA’s largest shopping centres, delivered across a live, multi level retail site.

The challenge

What they needed

The centre draws so much power it runs two high voltage connection points from separate substations. With rising costs and growing load, they needed a reliable, stable system, delivered without disrupting a busy retail site. It is the first of its kind for the customer, ahead of a wider rollout across their assets.

What we did

The solution

We installed 2,600 Trina 500W panels and ten Fronius 100kW Tauro inverters, managing Western Power HV protection, road shutdowns and traffic management, multiple 100 tonne crane lifts, public exclusion zones and major electrical shutdowns, and finished well ahead of the expected timeline.

  • Managed Western Power’s high voltage protection requirements across two separate substations.
  • Coordinated road shutdowns, traffic management and public exclusion zones for the install.
  • Completed multiple 100 tonne crane lifts on a live, multi level retail site.
  • Delivered ahead of schedule despite major electrical shutdowns across a busy centre.
