LED lighting upgrade for Darkan Sports Precinct
A full LED lighting upgrade and electrical safety check that brought a decade old community precinct up to standard, under budget.
The challenge
What they needed
The Darkan Sports Precinct had run on the same lighting for over a decade. During the works we found significant rodent damage to existing wiring, an unforeseen cost the facility had budgeted $8,000 for.
What we did
The solution
We replaced all fluorescent tubes with LED, added LED panel and flood lighting across the gym, multi purpose rooms and playground, and completed RCD checking. We finished the job a day early and completed the additional wiring works for $2,000 against the $8,000 budget.
LED lighting
Why it matters
Key highlights
- Replaced fluorescent tubes with LED throughout, plus new flood lighting for the Kids Central Playground.
- Found and fixed significant rodent damage to the wiring along the way, still under budget.
- Extended safe, usable hours for the BBQ and playground area after dark.
- Full RCD safety check included, so every circuit is confirmed safe.
