Solar and battery storage for the Shire of Denmark
A large scale solar and battery energy storage rollout across three Shire of Denmark facilities, won through a competitive tender to support the Shire’s net zero goals.
The challenge
What they needed
The Shire of Denmark wanted a market leading solution to accelerate its commitment to net zero, and ran a request for proposal process in late 2024 to find the right partner for a large scale solar and Battery Energy Storage System across three of its facilities.
What we did
The solution
Our proposal stood out for its clear understanding of the project and technical expertise. We delivered Sigenergy solar, battery and inverter systems across the Administration Building, the Recreation Centre and the Mclean Park Football Club Scout Hall in the 2024 to 2025 financial year, working collaboratively with the Shire to resolve challenges at one site along the way.
Why it matters
Key highlights
- Administration Building: 3 × 30 kW inverters, 8 battery modules (64 kWh) and 210 panels.
- Recreation Centre: a 30 kW inverter, 6 battery modules (48 kWh) and 88 panels.
- Mclean Park Football Club Scout Hall: a 30 kW inverter, 5 battery modules (40 kWh) and 88 panels.
- 386 panels and 152 kWh of battery storage installed across the three sites.
